The Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA LLB) is a five-year integrated course that culminates in a professional degree. BBA LLB is a combined law and business administration program that teaches students both business and legal concepts. Candidates studying BBA LLB are first disseminated with knowledge and understanding of Commerce subjects like Principles of Management, Financial Accounting, Effective Communication, Computer Applications, and so forth. BBA LLB law subjects like Constitutional Law, Property Law, Company Law, Administrative Law, Civil Law, and Criminal Law are taught to BBA LLB candidates after the following above-mentioned commerce subjects in the BBA LLB course. The maximum time an aspirant has to complete their BBA LLB program is eight years. BBA LLB Eligibility Criteria

If a student has completed their Class 12 from a recognized board, they are eligible for the BBA LLB program. Aside from that, most law colleges/institutions specify that students are entitled to register for a BBA LLB program provided they obtain a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate in class 12th (for SC/ ST category candidates there is a relaxation of 5% in aggregate per cent which brings down the minimum aggregate percentage of 40% in 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board).

Students who have completed their class 12th with Economics, English, and Statistics are eligible as well as preferred candidates to apply for the BBA LLB course. Candidates who have done a diploma in law after class 10th are also eligible for admission to the BBA LLB course.

BBA LLB Entrance Exams

For admission to the BBA LLB program, there are numerous national and state-level entrance tests to take. Some of the most popular BBA LLB entrance exams are listed below:

CLAT: Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national test administered by the Consortium of National Law Universities. It takes place only once a year in June for admission into undergraduate law programs like BBA LLB at 120 institutions of higher learning across India. It is a two-hour online examination with a total of 150 marks. The CLAT exam is scheduled to be held on 19th June 2022.

LSAT India: Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is conducted by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses in various colleges and universities in India. LSAT is conducted twice a year and for June 2022 exam, the registration will close on 8th June 2022.

AILET: The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a university-level law entrance examination conducted by the National Law University, Delhi to provide admission to candidates in five year BBA LLB program, LLM program, and Ph.D. courses. AILET is conducted only once every year and more than 20,000 students sit for this examination to get admission to the BBA LLB course.

SLAT: Law Admission Test (SLAT) is a university-level examination conducted once a year by Symbiosis International which is a deemed university for admissions to professional law courses like five-year integrated BA LLB and BBA LLB programs. This year the SLAT exam is scheduled to be held on 3rd July 2022 and the final results will be announced by 12th July 2022.

BBA LLB Specializations

There are no proper BBA LLB specializations offered during the BBA LLB five-year integrated course but there are few electives offered during the final years of the BBA LLB program. However, candidates can choose to specialize in popular law specializations after the completion of their BBA LLB course. After graduating from the BBA LLB program, students can pursue a two-year LLM postgraduate degree to achieve specialization in the law subject of their interests.
