About Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)

Master of Physiotherapy or MPT course is a 2-year postgraduate program under allied health sciences. Its aim is to enhance the quality of life of an individual. Applicants can pursue this course after they have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or any other relevant degree.   • Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) Entrance Exams

    IPU CET: This computer-based entrance test is conducted once every year. The total duration of the test is 2 hours and 30 minutes. Students can sit for this exam after their Bachelor's degree. The total marks of this objective-based test is 720 and a total of 180 questions are asked to the aspirants. There is a negative marking scheme in the IPU CET exam.

    NEET PG: This test is conducted once every year. A total of 200 objective questions are asked to the students. The exam is conducted in online mode. Each correct answer rewards 4 marks to the students. The total marks of the NEET PG is 800.

    Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) Eligibility Criteria

  • It is mandatory for the aspirants of the MPT degree courses to study Biology as a core subject in high secondary school. Alongside that, physics, chemistry, or mathematics must be the other core subjects at the 10+2 level.
  • Candidates must secure at least 50% in their bachelor's degree level.
  • Before applying for a postgraduate degree in MPT degree, students must complete a 1-year internship during the final year of their bachelor's degree course.
  • Aspirants after meeting all the above-mentioned requirements, have to sit for entrance exams like IPU CET, and NEET PGthat are conducted every year, for admission purposes.
