The Common Entrance Test (CET) is a competitive exam conducted for the purpose of admission of students to the first year or first semester of full-time courses in medical, dental and engineering courses in professional colleges the various states of India.

MHT CET or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is a state-level examination conducted by the Government of Maharashtra (Directorate of Technical Education) for facilitating admissions in various full-time degree courses of engineering, Pharm.

Candidates should have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 50% of marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates must have appeared for JEE Main Paper 2 or NATA. The minimum qualifying marks in Class 12th should be 45% for SC/ ST.

candidates who have cleared Class 10, Class 12 and graduation are all eligible to apply for different category exams. It will be on the basis of the post for which the candidate will apply. The age relaxations for category students will be according to the government norms.

Candidates who are qualified in the CET can take admissions in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Farm Science courses i.e. BSc (Agriculture), BSc (Sericulture), BSc (Horticulture), BSc (Forestry), BSc AgriBioTech, BHSc (Home Science).
