Dental Diploma

Diploma in Dental is a graduate-level program for candidates who aspire to become a Dental Hygienist. It is a 2-year diploma that candidates can pursue after passing their intermediate examinations.

The program focuses on preventive dentistry, oral hygiene, dental radiography, periodontal treatment, basic restorations and extracting of deciduous teeth, etc.

Candidates after pursuing a Diploma in Dental are employed as Radiation Therapists, Dental Assistants, Medical Assistants, Dentists, Physical Therapist, Surgical Technologist, Veterinary Technician, etc.

After completing the course, students can pursue other certificate courses to further enhance their skills or they can pursue Bachelors of Dental Surgery through which they will be eligible to open their private clinic and practice independently.

Diploma in Dental Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed 10+2 examinations from a recognized board.

Candidates must have passed the exam in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects.

The cut-off percentage for admission varies from institution to institution. But, most of the colleges require candidates to score at least 45 per cent marks.
